Jaxx Liberty was a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet designed to allow users to manage digital assets directly on third-party blockchain networks. The company responsible for Jaxx Liberty has permanently ceased operations, and the wallet software, website, and all related services were officially discontinued on March 27, 2023.

Security Architecture: Full Self-Custody

Jaxx Liberty operated under a strict self-custody security model. Under this model:

User Responsibilities

Security within the Jaxx Liberty ecosystem depended entirely on user practices. Users were responsible for:

Software Use and Limitations

While the Services were active, Jaxx Liberty was provided as software under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license for personal or internal business use. Unauthorized copying, modification, reverse engineering, redistribution, or commercial exploitation of the software was prohibited.

The software was provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, including security, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Third-Party Integrations

Jaxx Liberty integrated with various third-party services such as blockchain networks, token swap providers, fiat on-ramps, staking platforms, hardware wallets, and market data providers. These services operated independently under their own terms and policies.

Jaxx Liberty did not control, endorse, or guarantee the security, availability, accuracy, or performance of any third-party service and assumed no responsibility for losses, failures, or security incidents arising from their use.
